President’s Letter

Dear MNCPA Member:

On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank you for being a member of the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association.

The past few years have brought the law enforcement community many challenges, we endured an unprecedented pandemic and great deal of civil unrest here in Minnesota and beyond. We learned many lessons from those challenges. In the eyes of a crime prevention practitioner, our jobs are more important than ever as our communities begin to heal and we prepare to mend broken trust and relationships.

The Minnesota Crime Prevention Association has resumed all training and our annual conference in 2022. As 2023 has begun, we are beginning to plan trainings that will help us educate our communities on the most recent crime trends around Minnesota and beyond. Our 2023 Annual conference is sure to provide exciting topics and great networking opportunities to those in our organization. This year’s Conference will be held at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, MN on October 2nd and 3rd. If budgets are a concern, the MNCPA has scholarships for agencies to attend the conference at no charge. This funding was provided through a grant from the Land O’ Lakes Foundation. Scholarship applications are available on the webpage under conference information.

We as board members and as an organization as a whole are here to help. Many members have become tried and true members, and there is no reason to re-create the wheel. We are always just an email or phone call away.

We look forward to seeing all the new and seasoned members at our upcoming trainings.

Sincerely,

Nicole Neis

Minnesota Crime Prevention Association, President
