The Minnesota Crime Prevention Association has formed three standing committees, each with specific duties. Any MCPA member in good standing is encouraged to participate in the committees. and Training Committee The Education and Training Committee is responsible for planning conferences and conducting topical workshops across Minnesota. The committee is working toward the goal of ensuring crime prevention is a top priority by making crime prevention training opportunities available throughout the state, encouraging certification in crime prevention, planning the annual MCPA Conference, and playing an active roll in keeping members informed and involved in crime prevention actions being taken at the state level through legislation. Membership and Public Relations CommitteeCommittee Chair: Jennifer Schaefer, phone: (763) 592-2223 The Membership and Public Relations Committee is continually working toward the goal of increasing MCPA membership to better benefit networking and training opportunities for those working in the area of crime prevention. This committee is responsible for organizing the membership packets, overseeing the MCPA website, and the crime prevention trading card program.
